5 Ways to Stay Healthy with a Busy Schedule
One of the most important aspects of my life is staying healthy. I could go on and on about the importance of being healthy and exercising but the bottom line is that if you are not actively trying to push yourself to be healthy then it is going to be harder for you to grow into your full potential. One of the biggest challenges for me to stay healthy is that I am a mother, business owner, and entrepreneur. So I have to look for different ways to try to make not only my body healthy but also my mind and here's how I do it!!
Meal Plans are a great way to help get your body in the routine of eating meals at specific times throughout the day. Usually many people go about their day and eat food when they are hungry. This confuses your body and it makes you hungry at different times throughout the day. This can lead to constant snacking and many other bad habits.
Personally I try to eat two main meals each day: Breakfast and Dinner. This doesn’t mean that I don’t eat during the day. I leave myself time to get a healthy snack during lunch time but I try to eat something healthy and light like a smoothie or a small salad. This helps my body continue to stay healthy and keep it in a routine where I am not snacking constantly.
Eating Clean Food
Clean food is surprisingly very important for your mental health. There have been recent studies that show that the micro bacteria in your digestive system have a direct effect on your mental health. The more bacteria the more it affects you negatively.
It is for this reason that I try to buy more organic products and more natural ingredients. The more natural it is, the less bacteria there are that could affect me. So eating more healthier food leads to not only your body being healthy but also your mind. When your mind becomes healthy then you no longer want to go back to the unhealthy lifestyle that you see many others live.
I stay healthy by constantly pushing myself to be better not only myself, but for others. I do this by not only setting goals, but rewarding myself for achieving these goals.
People believe that we have to take care of our bodies, which is 100% true. However, the one thing that most people overlook is that we have to also take care of our minds. When we exercise our minds and push ourselves to be better our bodies start to react differently and they want to follow. It is important to give yourself something to work towards and when you finally achieve this, giving yourself a reward for all the hard work that you have done is a really good way to boost your self-esteem and mental health.
As simple as this may seem it makes a world of difference. With a busy schedule it's hard to find any time for yourself let alone time to read. With that being said I still try to find time to read books that help improve my mindset. I like to read for 5-10 minutes every night when I get home after a long day of work, or when I get into bed for the night. Only 5-10 minutes of reading a day allows you to read about 1 book per month. This allows you to exercise your mind every day and helps you improve your mindset and stay healthy.
Being a business woman and entrepenuer, it is hard for me to find time to go to the gym or do traditional workouts. So instead I do things like go up and down many flights of stairs throughout the day, when I take phone calls I try not to sit down and try to walk around or keep busy while talking. Since I am so busy all the time trying to keep my businesses ahead I get my fitness by running around doing as much as I can as fast as I can.
I want to thank you because by reading this you are taking the first step. You know that you want to be healthy and you are trying to push yourself to do that. The hardest part is taking that first step and even though right now you could be crawling, walking, or running, what really matters is that you are pushing forward. I hope that these 5 ways that I stay healthy help you find the ways that you could stay healthy.
